Manhattan's accessible taxi service has now been expanded to the NYC airports! Getting an airport accessible taxi is as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Customers only pay the metered fare and do not pay an extra charge for this service.
  2. Customers proceed to the general taxi queue for the accessible service. Please do not call Accessible Dispatch for taxi service originating at the NYC airports.
  3. For trips originating anywhere in Manhattan, please use one of the Five Ways to Order an Accessible Taxi.

On-demand service or advanced reservations accepted 24/7, 365 days from any location in Manhattan.

The New York Port Authority has partnered with the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission to offer wheelchair accessible taxicab service at the airports to passengers in wheelchairs. This is a city-sponsored service provided by Accessible Dispatch.

  • We are basically sitting here poised and ready for a much, much higher utilization than we have now. And it is our expectation that we are going to get it.

  • This is an entirely new kind of service, and it is a real and tangible reflection of our dedication to making quality taxicab service available to all those who want it. I think even the most ardent advocates for people with disabilities agree that we need 311 to be part of the solution, because even if we started phasing in a much bigger number of wheelchair-accessible taxis, it would take years to get there. We need to get service to people today, and that's what 311 will do.

New York City Taxi and Limousine Commissioner David Yassky
